I'm Back.......

I'm back for now... I brought the preschool laptop home and it seems to let me blog... Well, preschool is going well.... Most of you by now know that Stephanie is now engaged.... and my Baby will be a teenager October 7th! Man things are crazy! But then again they always are!

Thanks Cissa for coming to preschool and taking the school pics! :) I know they must be adorable....

Now I have to blog a preschool moment:

Friday we went to Circle S Farms.... Of course this was Jenna's class, Alyssa went too.... Deedah was going to take their picture in front of this VERY large pumpkin... when Alyssa says, in a very excited voice "BIG APPLE" and then she went over and tried to take a BIG bite out of it.... LOL... it was sooo cute... They said she left teeth marks in it! LOL

I can't wait until our next field trip! :)

Well, today I made my first website for the preschool! :) I did it all by myself!!! It was fun...Times have really changed. This week I received information from the health dept. to pass out at school on the pandemic flu.... We also received an alert radio from Homeland Security! I am glad for the information etc... but.... it is sad that times call for such measures.

I hope everyone else has a great week and hopefully I can update again soon!

THANK YOU LORD FOR SCRAPPING SISTERS!

Me and My Sisters!!!

Stephanie and Pansy :)

Me, Stephanie and Kim :)

Randy and Dallas.....

TEXAS CACTUS!!!

and... of course a barbed wire fence!

Well, it has definitely been one of those weeks! School has officially started!!! I think it is going to be a really good year with the kids!!! They are great! We have students that are really funny! Definitely blog material for later!

So you ask, If everything is so great, what is so bad about this week.... Well, lets see..... How about dealing with cranky people, who do not want to do what they are suppose to or lets not forget trying to decypher (or however you spell it) State rules and regulations. And last but not least Getting to put a playground back together, which also includes raking and turning the gravel that is out there! Oh and I almost forgot .... I get to inspect the playground quarterly and rake and turn gravel monthly!!! December - April I will be freezing!!!

On to happier thoughts!!! Last Sunday Cissa and I took the youth to play putt putt... Thank you Cissa for making it a memorable experience!!! The pictures are too funny... And yes, Cissa it is an alligator LOL...(see Cissa's blog)

So, needless to say.... I need a girls NITE!!! Scrapping Sisters is just what I ordered!

Oh and thank you so much to everyone for all their prayers!!! My cousin and her husband were both killed in an auto accident and we had to go back to Texas... While we were there we took pics and I thought I would share.... Well take care and maybe I will see you at a nite of scrappin!

Take Me Out to The Ball Game!!!

Well, we have definitely been all about baseball lately. For those of you who may not know, Dallas Made the ALLSTAR team! (GO DALLAS :) We have had practice almost every week night and tournaments all weekend! Well, we lost our first game this morning and then they came back and won the second game this afternoon! WAY TO GO VIKINGS!!! The downfall is that I have been taking Dallas to his games on Sunday and I have not been able to go to CHURCH! AHHH Carleta is NOT HAPPY! We have one more weekend of tournaments.... So hopefully that all goes well.

Ok enough about baseball.... Now for exciting news... As usual we had lots of kids at VBS.... Now considering that we only have like 4 kids in our congregation, I think 42 kids in one night at VBS is pretty good!!! But the best thing about it was that there were some kids there whose dad is an atheist and this may have been the only time they hear about Jesus!!! And then there was Jackson!!! He was baptized on Friday evening of VBS!!!! WOW! It was great! Praise the LORD!!!

Then coming up we are suppose to go to the TOBY MAC concert!!! YAY!!! DEEDAH I cannot wait! It will be fun as long as they leave the kid at home that had rocks in his bottle!!!LOL!!!! Oh my goodness that was crazy....

Well, blogger friends.... my blog has worked for now! But, I have an early baseball morning tomorrow so bye for now!!!

Rain.........

Well, I woke up this morning and it was a cloudy, gloomy day. They cancelled Dallas' baseball pictures, which will help me out. Now we don't have to be over there at 2:30! But, it just seemed to be a blah day! So, I decided to update my Blog! HA! Well, I signed on and guess what I read. Yep! My last Blog was about snow! IN MARCH!!! Well, guess what? This cloudy, rainy, gloomy day does not look so bad now!!!! :)

So, now I have to get ready to go buy Dallas some baseball pants that fit. By now most of you know he broke his finger! (we don't know how, he has about 3-5 different stories) He goes back to the orthopedist this Wednesday! Hopefully he can play ball again soon!

Preschool is crazy right now! We are getting ready for graduation! yay! The room is looking good but, man am I tired! I am also trying to get ready for another graduation! AHHHHH!!!

Then there is VBS! We are coloring the entire backdrop! Once again, AHHHH!!!

So, if it looks like I have pulled my hair out I probably have so, just pray for me! LOL.....

Well, Blogger buds.... take care and have a great rainy weekend! :)

"Don't Mess with Texas"

First I want to update on my previous blog.... The Toledo trip went well.... Steph is getting better! Thanks for all the prayers! Eventually they may be able to take her off medications!

Anyways.... I heard this lovely weather came from Texas!!! So, why can't we get sunshine from Texas??? I want the 70 and 80 degrees to come up from Texas.... Come on help a girl out! LOL....

Oh well.... we are snowed in....

My work atmosphere has been let's say as chilly as the weather outside... keep me in your prayers.... It has been a long week! I don't want to go into details but, it has been trying!

Well, it sounds like between sickness and the weather everyone has had a trying week.... so let's all bundle up... stay warm and drink a cup of hot tea! Maybe even make cookies or brownies!!! yummy!!!

10 reasons I want winter to go.........

1. Too cold to be outside
2. Steph drives me crazy when she cannot see Kyle!
3. I have to help shovel the driveway
4. I am ready to wear spring clothes
5. The roads to be clear so everyone can drive safe!
6. Snow messes up the floors so I have to mop mud!
7. Activities get cancelled and schedules get messed up!
8. Even when TV gets cancelled I still have to drive Steph to C-ville in yucky weather!
9. Snowmen are overrated (Except of course Cissa's)
10. My cat has to dig down in a foot of snow to find a place to poop!

Computers..... Computers!!!

Well, computers are wonderful when they work like they should! But..... when they don't they are a great BIG pain.... I haven't been blogging because, my computer wouldn't let me post or even comment some days! It was really quite frustrating!

So let me see..... Well I am sooooo glad that my fave show LOST has returned! It hasn't disappointed me yet! It just keeps getting better!!! So, Miranda..... don't call John, just call me or leave me a comment :)

What else??? Hmmm.... We have had sooo many snow days! I got to go to the Christ in Youth Believe conference that was totally awesome as usual! And then today we actually had school and we were able to finally have our Valentine party! If anyone is bored this Sunday after church you will have to come to Dallas' basketball game! He has played sooo well!!! His last three games he has played the best I have ever seen him play! He has one more game and then it will be tournament time! Maybe I will take some pictures this weekend!

Okay everyone knows how crazy I am! And we all know how insane I get around the Month of May because of planning preschool graduation and Vacation Bible School! WELL....... this year I have upped the stakes!!!! Yes that is right call the little men in white coats to take me away...... On top of this we all know Steph graduates and I have a party to plan..... Well...... I also have taken on the planning of the Mother Daughter Banquet for MOTHER'S DAY!!!! So my friends that means: "You need to start praying NOW!!!!" LOL...

THEY'RE BACK!!!

Yes, it is true! They are finally back! Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Hurley and even a short glimpse of Charlie... Oh how we have missed them! And now here they go again driving me crazy! Who is the mysterious man that keeps visiting Hurley? And would they just please hurry up and tell us who all got rescued and how they got rescued!!! Okay now I have gotten that out of my system!

Well, this has been a crazy week... From prom dress shopping till Saturday will be the youth Valentine dinner for the congregation! Yes, the youth are actually decorating, cooking, serving and cleaning!!! It will be crazy.... So if you are not busy, we are having spaghetti, garlic cheese bread, salad and red velvet cake! Oh and I can't forget that I also had my evaluation at work today! Man, how I miss the days of boredom. Isn't it funny, how we are bored... Now I don't even know the definition of boredom!

Special Prayer: Everyone please pray for me.... I am dealing with something right now and I need prayer.... Not a really big deal, just something kind of hard.... As a dear friend used to tell me.... "This to shall pass!" It is hard when you don't know what to do about a situation and you know whatever you do has a huge potential of making matters worse..... Oh well, now I am rambling so....... take care dear blogger friends......

Oh, and Ms. Heather...... we hope to see you at the Valentine Dinner!!! ;)

CRAZY!!!

From field trip to State inspection!!! This is a crazy week! I will apologize to anyone if I seem short with them or a little cranky! This whole inspection has me stressed!!! I do not know what he will be looking for tomorrow! It is almost worse knowing when he is coming! I hope it goes well!

If you get a chance, check out the pics on Heather's blog!! We went on a field trip Monday and well, you know Heather! Amy did not get that close to the snake and Jenna was like NO WAY! She is too cute. Heather finally talked Jake into at least petting it! No one was able to convince Kim to even get close to it! LOL....

I just cannot wait to get tomorrow over with! Then things will liven up at the end of the month when we have our pajama party! So get ready Heather.... We get to wear our jammies to school! I know Deedah is jealous!

Well, everyone pray for me and I will let you know how it goes!

HANDS AND FEET.....

The past couple of days have truly been an experience! It is so wonderful to see God work and show his mercy~

As you may have read on my previous blog or on Stephanie's blog, or perhaps you have just been watching the news, and seen the terrible travesty of one of my preschoolers house burning down....

Well, look out because God has sent help on the way!!! The information has flown through the wind. I cannot believe the out pour of kindness! It was so great to see the mom come into the preschool today to see everything everyone had donated for them.... The best part was when Kim said, "Jessica this is all for you! Everyone gave this for your family! Take what you want.... You may have it all if you like!!"
She was definitely overwhelmed.... She could not speak just tears flowed from her eyes and rolled down her cheeks!

This whole experience has made me realize how we as Christians must band together to help those in need! Without being judgemental! There are sooo many people who are in need at this time and really what do we do..... We smile and say I will pray for you ! Don't get me wrong.... prayer is wonderful!!!! We need prayer sooo much but, I also feel Jesus wants us to be his hands and his feet and to go where he sends us!

Bev actually said today..... you have just witnessed the hands and feet of Jesus :)

DEVASTATION!!!

Devastation..... How many times do we use this word without even thinking about what it really means? Today I was reminded exactly what this word means! Some of you already know this story, so you will have to bear with me.....

This morning I received a phone call from a preschool mom... She seemed to be crying. Then as she began the conversation she got more like.... hysterical! I asked her to repeat what she had just said to me because I could not understand her by this point. She took a big breath and stated that their house had caught on fire and burned to the ground. They lost everything. I choked back tears and all I could say was I am soooo sorrry and if there is anything we can do to help..... anything at all.... just let us know.... Of course after hanging up the phone me and my co-workers put our brains together and began thinking of ways to help this family.... As the day progressed we learned that it was thought to be an electrical wiring problem that more than likely began in the wall. We also learned that the Daddy had left for work about 10 minutes before this began. Then there was something amazing that we learned! We found out that there was a man driving by that just happened to see smoke coming out of their home and stopped and started pounding on the door until Jessica answered the door. He got her out immediately and went back in to save the girls. He took his flannel shirt and wrapped the younger girl, 2years old to keep her warm then he actually went back in to save the dogs and cat! The thing is they don't know who this was. This man had saved this family while just driving by! I looked at Stephanie as I had chills run down my arm as I exclaimed, "Maybe he was an angel!"

This type of things really brings everything into perspective! The little things didn't seem to bother me today. Not the family across the street upset that people have parked on their sidewalk and have ran over their water meter etc.... Not the little boy that had a pooping accident and got it literally everywhere (that I had to clean up) lol.... as Ms. Bev. put it "Code Brown" LOL.... None of those things seem to matter. All that mattered was finding a way to help this family.

I want them to know that people love them and that God loves them! I don't want them to question God, I pray that they will just be thankful to Him that he has given people to help take care of them in their time of need.

The video I watched on television and the pictures I have seen on the internet are truly devastating but, the love of God and His people can help you through anything......

Where in the World is Carleta??? Sad.... grieving for a family who has lost everything!!! And Happy that there is a loving caring God to take care of us all in our time of NEED!
