THE GOLDEN COMPASS! I THINK I HAVE SEEN THE PREVIEWS AND THOUGHT DALLAS MIGHT LIKE IT..... THEN I GOT THIS EMAIL......
There will be a new Children's movie out in December called THE GOLDEN COMPASS. It is written by Phillip Pullman, a proud athiest who belongs to secular humanist societies. He hates C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia and has written a trilogy to show the other side. The movie has been dumbed down to fool kids and their parents in the hope that they will buy his trilogy where in the end the children kill God and everyone can do as they please. Nicole Kidman stars in the movie so it will probably be advertised a lot! This is just a friendly warning that you sure won't hear on regular T.V.

I think we as christians should ban together and boycott this movie as well as pray for this poor man! How sad would that be!!! The thing I don't understand.... Ok so he doesn't want to believe in GOD..... but, why hate christians and if he doesn't believe there is a GOD then why even include him in your movie???
God has really been speaking to me on this issue lately..... Kim, Steph, Kim's daughter Jenna and I all went to McDonalds drive-thru for lunch..... there was a car in front of us with all these weird bumper stickers and of course I had to read them .... They said things like..... I don't hate your God, I just hate christians! And Who would Jesus Bomb? etc.... there were also abortion things etc..... Kim and I sat there reading it and all of a sudden Kim said, "I can't read that and not do anything!" then she said "We should do something!" I was soooo proud of her..... She said "HONK..... IF YOU LOVE JESUS" and then proceeded to honk like a crazy person!!!!LOL..... We need to stand up and speak out!!!!
We love Jesus! Yes we do! We love Jesus, How about you?

I'm honkin' w/ ya guys :) It is all very sad, but it's not surprising. These are sad times we live in. The world is so messed up and confused. There are those that don't believe in God, but when things go wrong in their lives, they want to blame those that do. Then there are those that say they believe, but live worldly lives.
You know, Hollywood making a movie like this doesn't surprise me. And actually, if you think of it, Christians shouldn't see the majority of movies out there. If you stop and think about all the language, and the immoral things that go on in the movies we watch, all the beliefs that are accepted that are contrary to God's world, it's really pretty sad that us Christians don't boycott more than movies like this. And I'm the first to admit I see things I shouldn't. I think a good thing we could all do would be to pray God fills our lives and minds with healthier things than the junk of this world!!

After reading that article, I am completely speechless! As a parent of young children, I find this extremely alarming! I actually find it alarming even for adults! They are going to reel people in w/the first movie (which will be pretty mild according to the paper I read). Kids will like it and then go buy the books and more movies will be made. The books sound like they will be much more graphic and detailed! I am still in disbelief honestly. I cannot believe someone would make a movie (or write a book) about this! It truly scares me as a parent raising impressionable kids! And.......Nicole Kidman is supposed to star in it! I will definatly pass the word about this b/c I am sure people won't be aware of it! The advertisements will intice people to go and see it and people may not realize what's behind it at first! I want to warn them so they will know! Thanks for passing this on and together we can make a difference and let our concerns be heard! Look out, 'cause here Cissa comes and she's comin' w/her peeps! LOL!!!! :) I had to try and add some humor b/c this is truly so disturbing! Now, I am gonna do some more research!
