I should be..........................

I should be.... doing laundry and dishes etc.... but, instead I sat down to catch up on some blog reading. I read this on my niece's blog so I thought I would post it for all my moms! If you have girls you will appreciate it.... If you have boys have them read it so they will be afraid to date! LOL!!!!

A Dad's Dating Rules

Rule One: If you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering something, because you're sure not picking anything up.

Rule Two: You do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of my daughter's body, I will remove them.

Rule Three: I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact come off during the course of you date with my daughter, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place to your waist.

Rule Four: It is usually understood that in order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this. The only information I require from you is an indication of when you expect to have my daughter safely back at my house, and the only word I need from you on this subject is: "early."

Rule Five: I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. Otherwise, once you have gone out with my little girl, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her cry, I will make you cry.

Rule Six: As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. My daughter is putting on her makeup, a process than can take longer than painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Instead of just standing there, why don't you do something useful, like changing the oil in my car?

Rule Seven: The following places are not appropriate for a date with my daughter: Places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer than a wooden stool. Places where there is darkness. Places where there is dancing, holding hands, or any kind of happiness whatsoever. Places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to introduce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts, or anything other than overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka - zipped up to her throat. Movies with a strong romantic theme are to be avoided, movies which features chain saws are okay. Hockey games are okay. Old folks homes are better.

Rule Eight: Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a potbellied, balding, middle-aged, dimwitted has-been. But on issues relating to my daughter, I am the all-knowing, merciless god of your universe. If I ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel, and five acres behind the house. Do not trifle with me.

Rule Nine: Be afraid, Be very afraid. It takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car in the driveway for a chopper coming in over a rice paddy near Hanoi. When my Agent Orange starts acting up, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean the guns as I wait for you to bring my daughter home. As soon as you pull into the driveway you should exit the car with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter home safely and early, then return to your car - there is no need for you to come inside. The camouflaged face at the window is mine.

ROFL!!! I thought this was sooo cute!!!

On a Lighter Note........

The donut quiz................................................... Ok Miranda posted a donut quiz on her blog so I took it......

Here are the results:
You Are a Boston Creme Donut
You have a tough exterior. No one wants to mess with you.But on the inside, you're a total pushover and completely soft. You're a traditionalist, and you don't change easily. You're likely to eat the same doughnut every morning, and pout if it's sold out.

Ok...... that's all I have to say about that..........

Now, where have all the bloggers gone! No one is posting, No one is commenting........... Oh well.... I hope it is just that everyone is busy! Take care everyone and I hope to hear from you soon!!!

HERE WE GO!!!

Well, here we go..... off to Toledo! We actually got an appointment to see the cardiologist. This is amazing because they told us that sometimes it can take a year to get in to see him.... So there goes one answered prayer.... keep up the good work! Hopefully we can find something out on Wednesday! Miranda is going to drive us!!! This is going to be a fun trip!! One of the first things Steph asked when she found out Miranda would be taking us, "Where are we going to eat?" See, I did teach her the really important things in life! :) lol....

At least today was slightly warmer than yesterday! Now it looks as if we are going to get to go sit outside in the freezing cold for Dallas' baseball practice. So far they haven't cancelled it! Oh well, I can go talk to everyone :) as usual!

Yesterday was Easter!!! We had a great morning! Sunrise Service was great! I love to hear Tom D. sing! Then came breakfast afterwards..... It's a good thing, cause my stomach was growling loud!!! After that we had our regular Easter Service... The Pickaway Praise Ensemble sang two songs.... The first one was not so hard the second one...... well, it was a hard song to sing..... but, it was a beautiful song...... I think with all of us together we didn't sound too bad!

Now I have to shift gears and get ready for VBS and preschool graduation..... So, if you see me any time soon and I look like I have pulled half my hair out..... I probably have! Well, take care fellow bloggers and I am going to check and see if Dee Dah posted a new top ten Tuesday :)

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???

First, they just left............ Or did they? I mean John Locke wouldn't actually leave! Or would he???Hmmm.... Ok once again I'm lost!!! lol... And what happened to the guys that got buried alive? Will they ever know they did that? Way to go Hurley!!! Sawyer needed to be a good guy! But, what will happen when Jack returns? I guess Sawyer is just doomed to be the Bad Boy!

Ok, so I am waaay too into that show.... Sometimes I just need the distraction! We still do not know too much about the Stephanie situation! Her 2nd round of bloodwork came back fine. Her dr. is now trying to set her up with an endocrinologist (or however you spell it) and she will probably have to see a cardiologist in Toledo.... Please keep her in your prayers and we will try to keep you posted.

I want everyone to have a Happy Easter!!! Our church, Pickaway Church of Christ, 12900 Ashville Pike, Ashville Ohio..... is having a Sunrise service at 6:30am Sunday then serving breakfast after with an Easter service to follow at 9:30 am!!! Please come and join us!!! Lets all celebrate Jesus!!!
